My name is Hannah and I am the owner and florist behind Yarrow & Co. It has been so humbling seeing how this business of mine has grown over the past few years and I am so grateful to the Alaskan community for shopping small and supporting this venture. I live in Girdwood, Alaska with my husband and when I am not flowering you can find me outside hiking or backcountry skiing in the mountains of my backyard. 

I grew up commercial fishing on the shores of Cook Inlet and have always been inspired by the dried grasses and weeds I would forage on the beach as a child. The strong, brittle dried yarrow was always my favorite to gather. I love the color of the foliage after its summer life has ended, reflected in browns, tan and gold. Even after it has long been dead, yarrow stands strong through Alaskan winters, representing sturdiness and resilience. 

My hope is that my love and respect for the earth will translate through my work with every vase arrangement, wedding and event I have the privilege to create for. Floristry is such a unique art form and gives me the opportunity to help bring beauty to life’s milestones and sweet moments.
